When I fired up my computer at work this morning I was proud to see at the top of our FedEx intranet home page a post about World AIDS Day and FedEx support for the Healthy Women Healthy Economies (HWHE) initiative. FedEx is a member of the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. In 2004 we received an e-newsletter from them about HWHE and its success in east Africa. We immediately reached out to the GBC and offered additional support to them to help with this initiative.
Today, our nation celebrates Veteran’s Day. On this day and always, let me offer my heartfelt thanks to the many men and women who have served our country in the Armed Forces. Their dedication has allowed all of us to enjoy the freedoms that we know today.
