FedEx Trade Networks Expanding Globally

We are facing the toughest economy in FedEx history.  Even with the challenge of this current economic environment, FedEx remains committed to making smart, strategic international investments that benefit our customers, employees and shareholders. International trade is increasingly important to FedEx and our customers, and FedEx Trade Networks is doing its part to strengthen our Company’s global services by expanding our global presence and international freight forwarding capabilities.

We recently announced our expansion in Asia and Latin America with the opening of international freight forwarding offices in Brazil, Singapore, Taiwan and China (Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Qingdao).  This expansion marks another significant milestone in the FedEx global growth strategy.  These openings complement our North American infrastructure and support our overall global freight forwarding expansion plans, which include opening additional facilities and establishing alliances throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

In order to provide customers with the best possible solutions to their international freight forwarding needs, you need a team of highly skilled professionals.  I’m proud to report that we have brought on-board some of the finest international freight forwarding team members from around the globe. They join our professional, dedicated freight forwarding team members in North America from Montreal to Los Angeles.

Global trade trends point toward a demand for international ocean and air freight forwarding services, and expanding our footprint in critical developed and emerging markets will enable us to deliver full-service international freight forwarding solutions and better serve our customers’ total global supply chain needs.

By enhancing our international freight forwarding capabilities and increasing our local market presence, we can provide integrated solutions for our customers seeking to expand their business globally. Today they can do that with one global brand - FedEx.  Enhancing our presence internationally through new FedEx Trade Networks offices is a testament to FedEx delivering on its commitments.
