Remember what recess was like back when you were in grade school? If the weather was nice, you probably couldn’t wait to race outside to romp and play. Fun was usually the order of the day.A team of FedEx employees recently rekindled those days of yore with a few twists. Instead of a schoolyard playground, the fun and games will take place in the corner of a parking lot at the FedEx World Technology Center in Collierville, Tenn. Instead of young children, the participants were gleeful FedEx employees on their lunch break.

The winner of the Denny Hamlin Helmet Design Contest is Bernard "Sonny" VanBuskirk III, the 11-year-old son of Express Operations Manager Bernard VanBuskirk.
For the second year, FedEx is supporting March of Dimes by unveiling a new, co-branded paint scheme on the #11 FedEx Office Toyota Camry to promote the March for Babies in 2009. FedEx Driver Denny Hamlin, who will race the new paint scheme April 18, 2009, in Phoenix, needs a new racing helmet especially for this event.
To help Denny find the perfect helmet, FedEx is conducting a design contest. If you are a FedEx team member with a child under the age of 12 who would like to win the chance to have his or her artwork featured on Denny’s helmet, we want to see those drawings!

Over 40 FedEx elves joined in the fun at the 14th Annual Jerry Rice toy drive and holiday festival. Thousands of toys were collected that will benefit 15 different children’s charities all around the Bay Area including Children’s Hospital Oakland and Shelter Network of San Mateo County.
