“The City of Champions” proved to be a fitting location for Team FedEx at the National Truck Driving Championships. Saturday morning began with the announcement of the top three finishers in each class. FedEx scored big with 10 finalists in six of the nine classes including sweeps of 3-Axle and Step Van. The finalists took one last crack at mastering the course before the final order was announced. FedEx walked away with four national champions: Don Logan-3-Axle, Mark McLean-Twins, Troy Swenson – 5-Axle Sleeper, David Thompson-Step Van.

It's called the Super Bowl of Safety and it's being held in the City of Champions and the home of FedEx Ground headquarters - Pittsburgh, PA. There are 98 FedEx drivers competiting this week through the weekend, and the FedEx Citizenship Blog is there to bring you the action.
The drivers were firing on all cylinders on Day Two of the National Truck Driving Championships. An early morning “Breakfast of Champions” kicked off the day for all competitors – including the 98 drivers from Team FedEx. After breakfast, they made their way to the Convention Center to begin the first day of the skills portion of the event. Drivers were then divided by class, with half competing in the pre-trip inspection and the other taking their turn on the driving course. On Friday, they’ll swap places.
