Gerald P. Leary is senior vice president, US International - Planning, Engineering, and Global Trade Services for FedEx Express. He is responsible for five key initiatives: US Export, System Form, Freight Management, International Planning and Engineering, and Global Trade Services. Leary oversees all aspects of FedEx international operations planning and engineering. In addition, he provides strategic direction to FedEx global customs clearance to ensure international service regulatory compliance. Leary has 34 years of experience with FedEx. He joined FedEx in 1974 as a courier and held various positions in operations before joining FedEx management in 1977. Prior to his current position, he served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for FedEx Trade Networks for six years. He also served as vice president of Worldwide Ground Operations and Support for FedEx Express and vice president of Global Trade Services for FedEx Express.
